Weekly Report 23 April 2017

I hope you all had a lovely Easter – once the horrible weather had moved on.  I ended up staying in Wellington as didn’t fancy a ferry trip when there was a severe storm warning in Cook Strait….not my idea of fun!  If you want to hear a horror story ask Tony about his trip home yesterday some time…

Another (sort of) long weekend this weekend with ANZAC day on Tuesday, so if you’re around town, going away or still away (from Easter/School holidays), I hope you have a great weekend – I’m meant to be away again, visiting family, so lets hope the airports stay fog-free!!!

Fem:  The next corrective exercise session is Sunday, 30th April – we hope lots of you can make this – make sure you have warm clothes to put on, and if you remember, bring an extra towel and pillow to use as props (not for a nap!).  If you want an inbetween session the next group session at Fem’s studio, 30 Courtenay Place, is Friday 28th April at 7.30am.

Bargain shoes:  I haven’t heard if these have gone or not, so in case they are still available:  Maryanne Palmer has a pair of women’s size 10 Asics DynaFlyte running shoes that have been worn twice before she felt they weren’t right for her.  (They apparently are similar to an Asics DS Trainer).  If you are interested in them, she is willing to negotiate very generously on the price.  Just send an email through Contact WMC, and we’ll send your email on to her to arrange you trying them on.
Manawatu Striders asked us to remind you they have a half marathon and full marathon event on 28th May – you can get the details off their website:   www.manawatustriders.org.nz
ALSO on the 28th May is the next “In the Footsteps of the Marines” event.  We have a bus trip scheduled on this day, so if you are interested in having the bus link up with the start (or are interested in going up that way for somewhere different to run/walk), then let us know (Contact WMC) so we can ascertain whether it will be worth sending the bus to Mackays Crossing.  Click here to go through to the site, and click on the event info box in the top right hand corner.
Have a good weekend, see you on the 30th.
